The word “contract” is very tricky when it comes to working with clients from all over the globe.
Now I do, of course after this. However, the concept of a legally binding contract in this line of work is not easy to just throw out when you are still starting work.
Even if, the whole situation of whether you, as a freelancer, should pursue legal action against a small contract or not is the problem. The main focus is usually on providing excellent work, not the hassles of legalities if you know what I mean.
I do get your point though and nowadays could relate and insist on such a service agreement before any work is done.
Thanks!
